Terms of Service
Effective April 17, 2026
1. Who we are
FRQ Review is a practice and feedback tool built by a small group of college students. Using the site means you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
2. Not affiliated with any testing organization
AP® and Advanced Placement® are trademarks registered by the College Board. FRQ Review is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the College Board. All practice content is student-submitted and graded for learning purposes only.
References to “AP” or free-response questions are purely descriptive of the practice format you can grade against. FRQ Review is independent.
3. Your account & eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use FRQ Review. If you're under 13, please don't create an account or submit content.
We offer three access levels:
- No account: grade unlimited FRQs with a short ad between grades. Nothing is saved — close the tab and it's gone.
- Free account (Basic): same grading, plus your most recent graded FRQs are saved to your history so you can come back to them.
- Plus: removes ads and unlocks unlimited saved history.
Creating an account (free or paid) requires accurate contact information. You're responsible for the security of your login and for all activity under your account.
4. Content you upload
You are responsible for what you upload. By submitting a prompt, rubric, response image, or other content, you represent and warrant that:
- You own the content, OR
- You have the legal right or permission to use, upload, and have it processed for grading (for example, materials provided by your teacher for personal practice, or publicly released practice questions).
Do not upload copyrighted material you don't have permission to use, secure exam content, another person's work without consent, or any content that violates law or third-party rights. We may remove content and suspend accounts that violate this section.
You keep ownership of your uploaded content. You grant FRQ Review a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to process your submission for grading, store your response image and the AI-generated feedback, and display that stored content back to you. The FRQ prompt text itself is processed to generate feedback and then discarded — it's not stored alongside your history.
5. Plans and billing
- Basic is free forever. Short ads may play between grades.
- Plus is a paid subscription: $3.99/month billed monthly, or $0.99/month when paid as a $11.88 annual charge. Prices are in USD and exclude taxes.
- Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until canceled.
- Refunds: Within 3 days of a paid charge, contact us and we'll refund that cycle. We monitor usage to prevent abuse — if our systems detect heavy grading activity suggesting the service was used intensively and the refund request looks like an attempt to get both the benefit and your money back, we reserve the right to decline the refund. In that case you'll keep full Plus access through the end of the billing period you already paid for. After the 3-day window, the paid cycle runs to its end and then cancels.
6. Advertising
The Basic plan is supported by ads, including rewarded video ads that you explicitly opt into before viewing. Going Plus removes ads.
7. Acceptable use
Don't: attempt to reverse engineer, resell, or abuse the service; upload malware; scrape at a rate that degrades the service for others; or use FRQ Review to cheat on a graded assessment where outside help is prohibited.
8. AI feedback disclaimer
Feedback is generated by AI models and is offered for learning purposes only. It may contain mistakes. Scores are estimates, not official grades.
9. Termination
You can close your account anytime from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. On termination, your stored content may be deleted per our Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimers & liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties. To the fullest extent allowed by law, FRQ Review is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total aggregate liability to you is capped at US $10.
11. Governing law
These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced on the site. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
